Emil “HeatoN” Christensen was a former captain and is the current manager for team Ninjas in Pyjamas. HeatoN was a part of the original NiP which won the CPL World Championship in 2001 and would go on to win numerous championships in Counter-Strike 1.6. He is known for his aggressive, flashy style and excellent play in high pressure situations, most notably his eco ace against 4K in 2001 and his fake flash versus Element in 2003. HeatoN also won the World Cyber Games 2003, representing Sweden. After becoming one of the first true esport superstars, he retired from competitive play in 2007.

HeatoN would later go on to recruit and mentor one of the best Counter-Strike players of all time, Christopher "Get_RiGhT" Alesund, as well as directing and managing a re-formed NiP as the team transitioned into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
